Elaine of Joy on the Move Coaching needed a new site, logo and identity. I created the site, the look and the business cards that help Elaine sell her business.

Inspiration
Elaine’s business, Joy on the Move Coaching, is centered around empowering people to realize their own potential. Elaine needed a design that reflected her qualities: allowing her clients to take shape and soar! Elaine’s business identity was closely tied in with her own personal identity. Together we took inspiration from the silk scarves she wears and use that as a metaphor for her own inspirational coaching.
The website
The website was built in WordPress and it used a simple theme with a right hand navigation bar. The theme is the same theme I use to teach WordPress at Camosun College, adapted to fit Elaine’s needs. I gave Elaine a couple hours of training on the site and she is happily adding pages, news and photos to keep it up to date.
The Logo
Like a silk scarf lifted up by the breeze, Elaine empowers her clients! Elaine’s logo was needed where all modern, full-colour presses and screen media exist. The logo didn’t need to be presented in black and white because the applications for black and white printing didn’t apply to her business. Elaine needed a logo that would only ever be used in full colour, or in presses that didn’t use colour separations.
